MIDDIES SWIMMING
T E A M S T R U C T U R E
The
YWCA Middies Swim Team is a fully sanctioned YWCA and USA-Swimming program.
It involves a year round commitment on the part of the swimmer
including
participation in meets.
In
keeping with our Middies philosophy of providing a quality competitive
swim program for swimmers of all ages, abilities and levels of interest,
the Middies Swim Team offers four levels of professional instruction
and training.
The
Coaching Staff will move swimmers up or down levels throughout the
year based upon the swimmer's PRACTICE PERFORMANCE AND ATTENDANCE.
Bronze Group
- Developmental
Stroke Training
- The
team works out 3 days a week at the YWCA
- Participants
are usually 6 yrs. old and up
Silver Group
Advanced stroke technique introduction to stroke training.
The
team works out 3 times a week
Participants
are usually 8 or 9 years old

Gold Group
Advanced stroke technique and advanced stroke training
Introduction to endurance based training
The team works out 6 days a week
Participants are usually 9 yrs. old and up
Senior Team
High level of intense training for national and regional level competition.
The team works out 6 days a week
Additional morning practices are offered 3 days a week.
